Meet Bert Davich, LMT
I have been practicing since 2006. Primarily practice working with specific dysfunction including pain management, range of motion, functional issues, injury rehabilitation post surgery, muscular/neurological inhibition or hyper-activation. My primary methods and approaches include Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy Technique, DNM (DermoNeuroModulation), and Stecco Fascial Manipulations. My secondary practice is general tension and relaxation work as part of pain management. Massage Therapy can be very beneficial in treating and resolving issues that affect the quality of our daily life in both physical and emotional health, which go hand in hand. I believe in working with clients, not “on” clients. This means listening to what you have to say as well as using movement verification and other assessments to determine an approach that matches your needs. I believe in working with the nervous system, not against it. Massage and manual therapy should not generally be painful. This includes deep tissue work, which if done properly feels good and does not leave you bruised. In fact, most effective approaches are not painful. You should leave feeling good, and often you will feel even better the next day. Range of motion and reduction of pain often continue to improve for some time. |
